Our Mission

The mission of Hot Flashes & Cool Conversations Foundation (HFCC) is to educate, empower, and support women navigating perimenopause and menopause through accessible resources, community-centered conversations, and culturally grounded experiences.HFCC exists to normalize menopause, expand understanding, and ensure women are informed, supported, and seen during this important life transition.

Our Values

Access

Support should not be limited by awareness, language, or proximity. HFCC works to make menopause education and resources accessible through community conversations, digital tools, and in-person events—meeting women where they are.

Community

No woman should navigate this season alone. HFCC creates safe, welcoming spaces for open dialogue, shared experience, and mutual support—fostering connection, validation, and collective healing.

Cultural Relevance

Menopause does not exist in a vacuum. HFCC centers culturally grounded conversations that acknowledge how race, identity, caregiving, work, and lived experience shape the menopause journey. We honor the full context of women’s lives

Respect & Dignity

Every woman’s experience is valid. HFCC leads with respect, compassion, and integrity—rejecting dismissal, shame, and silence in favor of understanding and care.

Education

We believe knowledge is foundational. HFCC is committed to providing clear, practical, and evidence-informed information that helps women understand what is happening in their bodies and advocate for their health with confidence.

What Makes HFCC Different

Hot Flashes & Cool Conversations Foundation (HFCC) approaches menopause through a lens that is human, culturally grounded, and community-centered.

While menopause is often discussed in clinical or fragmented ways, HFCC recognizes that this transition affects every aspect of a woman’s life—her identity, relationships, work, confidence, and sense of self. Our work centers the whole woman, not just symptoms.

HFCC is different because we:

  • Lead with lived experience, not assumptions.

    • Our programs are informed by real conversations, shared stories, and the realities women are navigating every day.

  • Create space for honest dialogue.

    • HFCC prioritizes conversations that are open, respectful, and free from shame—where women can ask questions, share experiences, and feel validated.

  • Honor cultural context.

    • We acknowledge how race, caregiving, work, faith, and community shape the menopause experience and ensure those realities are reflected in our resources and events.

  • Focus on education that feels accessible.

    • HFCC bridges the gap between medical information and real life—offering guidance that is practical, understandable, and relevant.

  • Build community, not dependency.

    • Our goal is to empower women with knowledge, connection, and confidence so they can advocate for themselves and support one another.

HFCC exists to change how menopause is discussed—and how women feel while navigating it.
